Just had a very relaxing day. So before I go sleep, I’d like to share with you my experience today!

In order to celebrate our best friend Jun Loayza’s birthay, Steve, Meghan and I decide to go to beach and work together there. I like Ocean, so we decide beach will be the best destination for us today!

I asked Steve what time shall we meet? Steve suggested maybe we should go early to beat traffic. I’ve been lack of sleep for several weeks. I wantted to catch up some sleep over the weekend. But seems he brought up a good point, we decided to meet in front of Macy’s Valley Fair around 10am.

Around 10:10am, I arrived at Valley Fair and looked for Steve in front of Women’s Macys. But I couldn’t found him. So Meghan and I called him and found he was waitting in front of Men’s Macys. I felt so funny that we are talking about Macys, but while I say Macys, it comes automatically to me it’s women’s Macys. And when it comes to Steve, he was thinking about Men’s Macys. See, how differently people can think about the same thing.

We started to drive there. On the road, I made sure with Steve and Meghan that they put their sun lotion on. But after we arrived in Santa Cruz, we found we don’t actually need sun lotion, it is cloudy! Plus it is super windy and cold. So we put our beach tower on the sands, and all lay down and try to sleep. So I realized it and laugh: we wake up early and come to the beach for sleep.

As usual, I couldn’t sleep. So I opened my computer. I found that it was amazing that there was free internet at Santa Cruz Beach. I quickly checked my email and realized that it will sound too crazy if I work on beach. So I turned off the computer and went to sleep again.

After half an hour, I asked Meghan, do you want to walk on the beach? Meghan is new on the team. She looked at me, wanted to say no, but doesn’t know how to say, so looked it me again. Then I realized I just proposed a bad idea. So I asked Steve, do you like to walk? Steve told me: Oh, I feel miserable here. Maybe we should leave!

We started to laugh after Steve said it. Since he was right, it was so cold in the beach. So we decided to go to Wilder Ranch Park. After we arrived, the weather beceme hot again. So Steve said, ok, it turns hot after we left the beach!

We took a nice walk in Wilder Ranch park, it’s a ranch near the ocean, so the view was amazing. We talked about our passion and our dream. Steve asked me what’s my plan in five years. I said, I hope our company can go IPO, then I will stay miserable in beach for one year! . We all found that’s a nice goal!

After our walk, we sat in a Peet’s coffee and worked there for four hours before we drove back. It was such a relaxing day! I did enjoy this weekend. Thanks Steve and Meghan for the company!
