Do interesting things.
Zenhabbit is an intesting blog worth to follow. It is about finding simplicity in the daily chaos of our lives. It aims to clearing the clutter so we can focus on what’s important, create something amazing, find happiness. Today I saw an interesting blogpost on Zen Habbit and would like to share it with you. This blogpost is about how to do interesting things. Here is the list:
Write a book. Or an ebook. –Yes, I want to write a book in my life too. Maybe convert this blog to a book later?
Write poetry and publish it on the web. –Used to wrote lots of poetry when I was young, oh, my imagination…
Create interesting, lovely or funny videos, put them on You Tube. –Just created some videos for Jun Loayza, not sure if it is funny, but it will be available to you upon request.
Be passionate. –Haha, I am!
Write a web app that will solve a problem in people’s lives. –Requires certain web skills, huh?
Become a watchdog to replace the faltering newspapers.
Explore the world, and blog about it. –Haha, I am doing it now!
Try something you’ve always been afraid to try, and put it on video. –What am I afraid of neh?
Be yourself, loudly. –Am I too quiet?
Start a new company, doing only one thing, but doing it very well. –Focus, focus!
Start a business that does a service you’ve always wanted, or that you are frustrated with in other companies because the service sucks. –That’s a good idea. Maybe a spa?
Put your heart into something.
Say something that no one else dares to say. –Why?
Do something others are afraid to do. –They don’t do it for a reason, right?
Help someone no one else cares to help. –I like it!
Make the lives of others better. –It is the Goal of my life.
Make music that makes others want to weep, to laugh, to create.
Inspire others by being inspiring. Teach young people to do amazing things. –I am doing it now!
Write a play, get others to act in it, record it. –Sounds interesting!
Empower others to do things they’ve never been able to do before. –Yu-kai Chou might like it. He likes to power up people around him. Nice hobby, huh?
Read, and read, and then write. –Read and write is my favorite!
Love, and love, and then help others to love.
Do something good and ask others to pass it on. –Nice
Be profound. –How? I do enjoy myself being simple.
Find focus in a world without it. –What’s this mean?
Become minimalist in a world of dizzying complexity.
Reach out to those who are frustrated, depressed, angry, confused, sad, hurt. –Yes, at least you can give them a smile.
Be the voice for those without one.
Learn, do, then teach. –That’s how I encounter Dale Carnegie.
Meet new people, become fast friends.
Dare to be wrong. –Good point.
Take lots and lots of pictures. –Oh, believe me, I did!
Explore new cultures.
Be different.
Paint a huge mural.
Create a web comic.
Be a dork, but do it boldly. –Sure I don’t need to learn on it!
Interview people. –Doing it everyday!
Observe people.
Create new clothes.
Take old stuff and make new stuff from it. –This is very creative idea.
Read weird stuff.
Study the greats, and emulate them.
Be interested in others. –As always!
Surprise people. –My dad might not like it!
Start a blog, write at least a little each day. –Come on, you are reading it.
Cook great food, and share it. –I am a good cook!
Be open-minded.
Help someone else start a small business. –Maybe Duoduo Qian? Rent her books and clothes out? Haha..
Focus on less but do it better. –Very important!
Help others achieve their dreams. –How can I make you a better person?
Put a smile on someone’s face, every day. –Lovely!
Start an open-source project. –Great idea!
Make a podcast. –Haha, never tried, but maybe it is worth to try.
Start a movement.
Be brave. –I need to!
Be honest.
Be hilarious.
Get really, really good at something. Practice a lot. A lot. Start now. Try…..
