To Jewel Maccary.
This afternoon I was taking a short break at my desk and decided to tidy it up. While cleaning my desk, I found an interesting note from a Dale Carnegie training session that I’d like to share with you.
It is about goal setting by Jewel and he stated that if you want to go some where you have never been before, you have to do something you have never done.
Jewel also talked about the 3 C’s (Never condemn, complaint and criticise) where we should all practice within our thoughts and make sure they also align with our behavior. In addition, if we don’t practice this methodology, it may be more difficult to set goals. You may try this technique on yourself. For example, you should not complain about yourself and be happy with yourself.
Jewel also mentioned that it is not a good idea for people to be occupied while multi-tasking. I believe Jewel is the best instructor that I’ve ever known and I will never forget Jewel’s smile and his annoucement in front of class:
My name is Jewel Mccarry, it is my responsibility to inspire myself and people around me to live and work with my enthusiasm!
Yes, Jewel, you totally inspired me and changed my life!
Hi Olina,
I like the “Never condemn, complain, and criticize.” It’s something I try to do daily. I also think it’s very true that if you want to go somewhere you’ve never been before, you need to do something you’ve never done/tried before.
I’m looking forward to my own journey w/ Dale Carnegie as well! Would love to talk to you about it when I’m going thru it.
Hope your week is going well! =)
